RESCUE – Many Breeds in Griffin Georgia

**CROSS POSTING ONLY**
**PLEASE RESPOND TO CONTACTS LISTED**
PICS CAN BE SEEN AT “LINK” BELOW

———————————————————-

Subj: Griffin GA rescue closing and has over 93 dogs left to rehome, Please Help. URGENT Closing March 21, all vetted dogs.

Need help moving these dogs out of Griffin, GA. Please take a look at this link and read the information and see the photo page.

Rescue had over 100 dogs, only 7 have left the property. Insurance was cancelled and County and Neighbors are coming down on them to get the dogs out. Everything is hitting this gal with both barrels. With having medical problems, insurance problems, neighbor problems, this gal cannot take it anymore. Shelter will be receiving all of her dogs in the gassing high kill shelter in Spalding and other kill shelters if these dogs are not moved ASAP.

If there is something you can do, please help Dawn save the dogs again. All of the dogs were originally rescued either from high kill shelters or from the streets in Georgia.

All dogs are vetted and ready to be transported to their forever homes. The fee part of vetting has been done, now all they need is commitment and transport to your forever rescue. Please help these dogs. It would be criminal for these people in the County and the Insurance Man and the neighbors to have their way and dispose of the dogs so inhumanely.
Dawn needs help and she needs you, please help them. Thank you.

RESCUE – SKIPPER, Female, B/T, 7 years old

Would anyone be interested in saving the life of a 7-year-old black-and-tan Dobergirl?  She has until Monday, February 25.  Tuesday, her Dobermom is going into a nursing home, and it’s doubtful she will come back out.  This sort of situation breaks my heart because there is nothing the owner can do but rely on the good nature and big hearts of people…strangers.  The family here obviously isn’t going to get involved.  The elderly woman’s neighbor is the one helping her and Skipper out.  So if anyone has an inkling to do a good deed in 2008 and has the ability, resources, big heart, room, and time to adopt Skipper, your chance is now.  Waiting is not an option.  If Skipper goes to Miami Dade AC, that is where they are having an outbreak of a contagious and fatal virus, and big dogs with a little wear on them are being pts due to lack of safe environment.   I’ve e-mailed around, and there isn’t a Dobie rescue who has space for Skipper as of now.  So you see the urgency.

Thanks – Helen

Subject: Doberman AKC – in desparate need of rescue
Hi
Morningside Doberman pet has their ‘human’ moving to nursing home and cannot take her beloved animal with her. This beautiful animal is sweet, kind and not aggressive.

The owner is elderly and we’re neighbors and trying to help as best possible. We have 6 animals ourselves and unfortunately cannot take one more …

This dog, Female, ‘Skipper’, needs a Foster home by Tuesday February 26th.

Please let me know if you are able to help.

Thank you

We believe she is around 7.

Color = black with some tan markings; she is striking

Tail = docked

Ears = natural

Indoor or Outdoor = she spends way too much time alone outside; she is inside when her owner is home/not visiting her son
Other dogs = my 3 dogs [of course on other side of fence] she wants to play; however they have not been next to each other freely
Cats = not known = will have to update on other dogs and this one
Kids = need to update
Training = she knows come, sit, good girl; will hv to update with more commands she knows; don’t know if she is used to walking on a leash for example

Thank you so much.

RESCUE – Gator, blue/tan, c/d, 5 y

Here is Gator, who needs help. E-mail received Jan 23, 2008.

——–

Unfortunately my lifestyle is going to have to change. (Due to husband’s death.) I know I won’t be able to keep Gator. I would prefer to find him a good home.

I’m hoping the attached file will go through. I’m not very good with this “stuff” sometimes. The pictures aren’t very good but all I have for now. (click on picture to enlarge.)

Gator

I am going to have to go “up north” at the end of this month for about 3 weeks. I’ll have to board Gator until I return.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions. I appreciate the help!

Gator – born 5/31/03

All shots are up to date

Tricks: Sit, down, shake, come, heel, stay, “dead dog,” and a couple others

Has never had any health problems

Loves to run – looks like a greyhound when he gets going

Ears were not done properly when he was a puppy – they do not stand up
