Diamond – Rescue (Adopted)

Diamond - Rescue (Adopted)

DIAMOND is 5 years old, house trained, and loves to play ball. She will get the ball, bring it and drop it. Then the little sweetheart backs up and waits for someone to toss it. Repeat above until you drop.

This little princess also loves to go after the hose water and will go directly to the hose in hopes of playing catch the water, get soaking wet and shake it over her Doberparents.

Diamond is spayed and up to date on her shots. She would like to be an only dog so she can get all the attention, but will consider going to a home that has a Dobie-sized male dog. I don’t know how she is with cats.
Mary

Please send application to dobermannrescue@earthlink.net if interested in this vivacious little sweetie.

Diamond was adopted/July 31, 2008 .

Jet – Adopted!

Jet with foster dad, Ted

Here’s Jet, our old Doberdame, who found herself on the brink of homelessness. If not for Mary and Ted volunteering to foster her, she wouldn’t be so lucky. There isn’t always place in many rescues for the “hard to place” kids. But luckily, those gals and guys whose Dobies go on the FDPRR website, open their hearts to all sorts of Dobies, not just the perfect, youthful ones.

Then we have the special people who open their hearts and forever homes to these “hard to place” kids. Jet was adopted by a very nice couple who have those needed big hearts for a senior who was more easily left to the chances of rehoming than putting in a little extra effort to find a home where she could live, too. Speaking from experience, I moved several times with my DoberDiva over five years as a renter when I landed in South Florida nearly 10 1/2 years ago. But some of us think of our pets as family and some of us are wrong. Jet’s new Doberfolks are very family oriented and are already loving up on Jet.

Jet with her new DoberDad, Joe

This is Jet with her new Doberdad, Joe. Linae, Jet’s new Dobermom, and Mary, Jet’s foster mom were out-of-the picture when the camera came out. Hmmm…maybe we’ll get one of Jet and Linae down the line. As for Mary? I’m working on that.

Jet has some really neat new animal family, too. Here she is with her new canine friend. And check out the Gargoyles that are protecting Jet’s new yard and home. They’ve got to be the cutest little characters going. Rumor has it, Jet is going to be meeting the family love bird soon. She is really having a new experience and is a most fortunate character. Plumpkin seniors rarely get this opportunity. The angels were looking out for her…and now the earth angels named Linae and Joe are.

Time to relax

You can check out Linae’s blog, as well. She and Joe are triathletes besides being animal lovers. Jet will benefit from getting a little activity in her daily routine, no doubt, as well as the company of a meditation partner. 🙂

Carly – Rescue

CARLY

Carly

“Well, here I am again…
I thought I could train this new pack to my liking but I came on too strong.

Birdie writes:
“I came into rescue as “Curly” a month ago through no fault of my own,
and was adopted by some great folks,
who gave me a more fitting name of Carly which I really appreciate. The new folks had several
4-legged family members already and I immediately decided I would show my superior bossiness.
This did not go over too well. My new folks were working with me and I was learning my place,
but in the process I jumped one of the little yappy dogs and they were afraid for their safety.

This put me back in rescue, so let me tell you about me.
I am a lovely pure bred 5-year-old Doberlady with all the appendages God gave me. I am a rarity today
I still have my tail. This gives me distinction among other benefits my sponsor can discuss with you.
I am very loving and gentle with 2-legged folks, I will give love and protection to someone
who understands my alpha tendencies and work with me. Take me to obedience class.
I am a very quick learner. Just understand I prefer to be an only kid. I am spayed, up to date on shots,
heartworm negative, my bags are packed and I am ready to come make your home complete.

Interested? Then fill out that app and send it in to dobermannrescue@earthlink.net quick.
I will make you proud.
I’m foster in Lee county currently.

Carly ended up staying with her friend, Grommit and her new adopters.
